Sterling doesn’t lock you in to the use of only one breakdown structure per Cost Plan. You can map your Cost Plan to industry standard structures, a custom portfolio structure and a project specific structure, and quickly pivot the data between them. This could be for functional use of the Cost Plan, for multiple colleagues to be able to work simultaneously in different ways, or for multiple ways of displaying the Cost Plan for reporting. Whatever your need, Sterling can provide for it.
With Resource Manager, you can manage all of the resources in use on a project in one place, without needing to interrogate the Cost Plan itself. You can see the total combined cost and carbon values of a resource, rather than just of a work package, or sections of a breakdown structure within the cost plan itself.
Sterling’s Finalisation Sheet allows for a powerful level of control over your final project cost, with the ability to apply 12 different factors across 2 mark-up stages. And as with all areas of Sterling, you can customise your view of the Finalisation Sheet, with the ability to show, move and hide any of the columns, and search and group your data in any way you need. Every column can be individually searched or filtered in a variety of different ways, with powerful features beyond a simple text based search.

The custom structure within your Libraries can be applied to the Cost Plan in the same way as industry standard structures, these are portfolio wide, but there is the ability to create an additional project structure which is unique to the project itself. This feature is usually used for more practical breakdowns, such as by building and storey, rather than by method of measurement.
There is a column for applying percentage mark-ups and for applying specific cost value mark-ups. When you enter one, it will complete the field for the other to show the equivalent value.
